In fact the first several minutes of studying are usually the most effective and focused that is why this 25 min of focus followed by 5 minutes of break time works so well. The reason being is that no one can stay truly focused for 4+ hours with absolute concentration. This technique has helped me tremendously. Basically for this technique all you need to do is plug your headphones in and whenever you hear the music that's the time you focus and after 25 minutes of that you'll get a 5 min break and the cycle repeats 4 times. For those of you who don't know pomodoro is a type of studying technique where you go for a period of time of focusing followed by a shorter break and this cycle is repeated several times.
